Release Notes: Adds support for Microsoft Office 2003. 'Bottle Manager', the ability to manage multiple simultaneous virtual Windows environments simply and easily, has been added. The window manager has been rewritten. Better sound support. Improved game support. Many, many other improvements.
Release Notes: Support was added for the following applications: EndNote 8, Quicken 2005, and iTunes 4.7. The viewing of 'shared desktops' in Netmeeting was fixed. The importation of databases into Excel was fixed. The saving of attachments in Lotus Notes was fixed. Associations on systems that don't have KDE were fixed. Issues with cross-product RPM upgrades were resolved. Menu support was improved on some newer distributions. Many other upgrade fixes were made.
Release Notes: Support has been added for Lotus Notes 6.51, Microsoft Project 2000, and Microsoft Outlook XP. This release detects ExecShield and Prelink systems and offers to disable ExecShield since it interfers with Windows applications. This should be especially useful for Fedora and Red Hat Enterprise users. The Standard and Pro editions now include support for the Netscape plugins, which was only present in the CrossOver Plugin. Now a single CrossOver installation can handle all your needs. It is possible to switch from the demo to the full version without reinstalling.
Release Notes: This version supports all known versions of glibc, including the new Native Posix Thread Library (NPTL) interface. This represents a major technical advance for Wine, as glibc instability has been a problem throughout 2003. Support for the Dreamweaver MX Studio was added. Dynamic loading of OpenGL is provided, which allows a much greater range of unsupported applications to run, especially games such as Half-Life. Miscellaneous bugfixes were made for Microsoft Office, Quicken, Visio, and Lotus Notes.
Release Notes: RPM, Debian, and Xandros specific builds have been added. A critical bug with Quicken, a Photoshop hang on exit bug, a 'wait4' error with pre 2.2.19 kernels, and some issues with printing have been fixed. More known True Type font directories have been added. There is further internationalization, including some German documentation.
