Aug 02, 2019 The most obvious reason to remove GarageBand from your Mac is if you are not interested in recording music and podcasts and the program is just taking up too much space. If you’re sure you won’t use it in the future and you want to free up space on the hard disk, you should remove it. Wherever you are, iCloud makes it easy to work on a GarageBand song. You can add tracks to your GarageBand for Mac song using your iPhone or iPad when you’re on the road. Or when inspiration strikes, you can start sketching a new song idea on your iOS device, then import it to your Mac to take.
With GarageBand 10.0 do the following:
- Collect the songs you want to mix in a folder on your Desktop or an album in iTunes.
- Create a project with just one audio track.
- Drag the audio files in the right order from the Media Browser > Audio tab to the audio track (or from the folder on your desktop).
- Use the volume automation curve on the audio track to adjust the volume to fade the songs in and out.
- Use the share menu to bounce the song to your disk or to iTunes.
